What is it?
A service, now available in the UK, that lets you subscribe to TV-streaming channels from within YouTube. It’s similar to how Amazon Prime Video and Apple TV work. When you sign up to them, you’re given the option to subscribe to other channels, including BFI Player, BritBox, Discovery, MGM and Paramount Plus. It means you pay twice: once to Amazon and Apple, and again to MGM, Paramount or whoever. YouTube has a big advantage, though.

It’s free. Or more specifically, you don’t have to subscribe to YouTube first, before choosing a Primetime channel. You still need to pay to subscribe to a service from within it, but overall you’ll spend less than through Prime Video or Apple TV. And you can watch on up to…
