WINDOWS 11
Share files from an app’s jump list
Microsoft’s Windows 11 KB5053598 update, released on 11 March, adds the option to share files when you right-click an app’s icon on the taskbar. First, pin an app to the taskbar by right-clicking it and selecting ‘Pin to taskbar’. Next, right-click the icon to bring up the app’s jump list, then hover over the file you want to share and click the ‘Share this item’ icon (see screenshot below).
Now choose how you want to share it – by email, Phone Link, Nearby Sharing, WhatsApp, OneDrive and so on. It only works with apps that have the option to share files, such as File Explorer, Microsoft Word and Snipping Tool.
