Apple has released its first new iPad Air for 18 months, adding 5G and a USB-C port that can transfer data at 10Gbps – twice as fast as before.
It comes with Apple’s M1 processor, which the company says is up to 60 per cent faster than the A14 Bionic processor found in the previous model. It has twice the graphics power, too.
Like its predecessor, it works with the Apple Pencil stylus (£89 or £119 from www.snipca.com/41273).
The cheapest version, priced £569, is a 64GB model with Wi-Fi only. Adding cellular connection, so you can make phone calls, increases the price to £719.
