It’s straightforward to make your PC shut down automatically at midnight when you’re not using it. To do this, you’ll need to set up a new task in Task Scheduler. Press the Windows key, type task scheduler, then click the option to open it. Click Create Task on the right. In the window that opens, name the task ‘Shutdown’. At the bottom, select ‘Run whether user is logged on or not’, tick ‘Run with highest privileges’, select your Windows version in the ‘Configure for’ dropdown menu at the bottom right, then click OK twice.
Next, click the Triggers tab at the top, then click New at the bottom. In the window that opens, select Daily on the right, set the time to 00:00:00, then click OK.…
