Apple finally ended the longest-ever wait for new iPads in May, with new versions of the iPad Air and and iPad Pro (see p6). A pple typically has a very close relationship with its developer community, but not everyone is happy about how the company has locked down what apps can do on the Vision Pro headset. Despite the criticisms, though, it seems like there’s a good reason for Apple being restrictive over what tools third-party visionOS apps can access.
