NEXT COPPER SWITCH-OFF AREAS NAMED
Openreach has named the next 28 locations where it will scrap copper phone lines, ahead of the nationwide switch-off in December 2025. The lines in these areas will be disabled from November 2024, and include exchanges in Dartmouth, Kelso, Liverpool, Newcastle, Staines and Tonbridge. See the full list at www.snipca.com/48070.
20,000 SIGN ‘EXTEND W10 SUPPORT’ PETITION
Campaigners have given Microsoft a petition calling for it to extend support for Windows 10 beyond October 2025. It was set up by the Public Interest Research Group (PIRG), a non-profit consumer organisation in the US, and contained 20,000 signatures.
