Find better alternative words
LibreOffice contains a useful thesaurus for when you need to find a better alternative to something you’ve typed.
Before using it, make sure the program’s language is set to English UK, (the default setting is English US). To do this, click the Tools tab, Options at the bottom, click the Language Settings menu on the left, then Languages. Next, click the ‘User interface’ and ‘Locale setting’ dropdown menus, change it to ‘English (UK)’ from ‘English (US)’, click OK, then click Restart Now to restart the program.
Next, highlight the word you want alternatives for. To access the Thesaurus, click the Tools tab, then Thesaurus: or use the keyboard shortcut Ctrl+F7.
