Using a mouse to drag and drop icons, text or anything else is relatively simple – you simply select what you want to move, then hold down the left mouse button and drag them accordingly. On a laptop’s touchpad, however, it’s not always so easy. If you reach the edge of your touchpad, you may have to lift your finger, which results in your selected item being ‘dropped’.
To solve this, turn on ClickLock. In Windows 10 or 8.1, go to Settings (press Windows key+I), Devices, Mouse, then click ‘Additional mouse options’. In Windows 7, open Control Panel, then select Mouse.
