• FINANCE Minister Tito Mboweni has hit back at claims by the DA that National Treasury plans to extend a bailout to help fund the business rescue process of flag carrier, South African Airways (SAA). A TRAINED commercial pilot and consultant at SAA, Phuthego Mojapele, is at loggerheads with his former business partner and former SABC news producer, Samuel Nakedi. At the centre of the dispute is a deal allegedly worth over R300 million from Bakgatla Ba Kgafela. The dispute played itself out in the South Gauteng High Court, in Jozi, after Nakedi demanded Mojapele pay him half of what they made to establish a TV academy awarded to their company by the North West-based traditional authority. The case has now laid bare numerous payments made to Nakedi, an employee of Bakgatla Ba Kgafela’s investment arm, BBKSIC amounting to R1,5m in cash transfers by the service provider. In this category she’s nominated together with Nomfundo Mkhize, DJ Happy Gal, Jacinta Ngobese and DJ Sthelo. Zimdollar is already canvasing for votes from Ukhozi FM listeners and the public at large.
